Our drive down to Heathrow was fine until we got with spitting distance and a self-inflicted diversion meant to save some time went horribly wrong. We lost nearly an hour in traffic as we watched planes land. Thankfully the process of dropping the car off at Purple Parking, bus to airport, and security / we were travelling hand baggage only - were all pretty good to us.
