The Farmer's Dog

Putting politics to one side - it’s a nice day out.

Parking was well managed, easy to park, no delays and a quick walk across to The Farmer's Dog pub.

We had a walk around the grounds and a quick drink in the Grand Tour tent before lunch. There were plenty of people visiting - but no where felt overly busy.

We had pre-booked for lunch, always a good idea but not altogether necessary as there was a queue at the door for those that hadn’t, and it appeared to be moving along nicely.

We ordered and due, I guess, to the small menu the food appeared very quickly - within 5mins. It was excellent - really well cooked and a nice temperature. We enjoyed the Steak Pie and the Sausages - both with mash and vegetables.

We split the cheese board to finish off. It looked very pretty and tasted lovely.

All were locally sourced ingredients.

We went with the non-alcoholic beer as I was driving. It was much better than expected.

On the way out we bought some sausages and bacon from the butchers counter in the tent - looking forward to having those later in the week.
